Camel Adventures
Discover Bedouin life and explore Desert on Camel back. One of the most unforgettable and charming experiences you can have in Jordan is to ride through the moving Desert. The view from the Camel is astonishing and Desert is even more impressive. With local guides to lead you, riding camel is leisurely way to enjoy the Desert in environmentally friendly manner.
It’s possible to go on a quick camel safari and return the same day. However, most people prefer to go deeper into the desert for one to up to several days. It is also possible to combine Camel Riding with our other Desert Adventures.
a) 1 – 2 hour Camel Ride – is possible any time of a day. This is ideal for people who never ridden Camel and would like to “get the feel” of it. It is usually added as extra activity at the beginning, middle or the end of other Desert Adventure of your choice.
Price: JD15 p/p per hour, JD20 p/p per two hours including walking camel guide.
b) Camel Ride from the Camp to the Village (or vice versa) - is a 3 hour Camel ride for individuals who arrive in the afternoon and would like ride the Camel to the Camp or for those who would like to return from the Camp to the village next morning on Camel back.
Price: 1 person JD5o, 2 people JD75, 3 people JD100, 4 people JD125, 5 people JD150, 6 people JD175 including mounted camel guide.
c) Half Day Camel Adventure (around 4-5 hours) is for people who would like to get friendly with Camel and enjoy quiet and peaceful time riding high atop their Camel and getting up close to Desert and its beauty. It is possible to start this tour in the morning or afternoon, from the Visitor Centre or the Camp and combine it with other Desert Adventure of your choice.
You will visit Barrack Canyon, Big Red Sand Dune, Anfishyia inscriptions, Lawrence House.
Price: 1 person JD65, 2 people JD50 p/p, 3-4 people JD45 p/p, 5-6 people JD40 p/p including mounted camel guide. Drinks and lunch is included.
Night at Camp JD20 p/p including traditional Bedouin dinner, breakfast and drinks.
d) Full Day Camel Adventure (around 7-8 hours) Witness the rustic and rural desert life of Jordan in an environmentally friendly manner and get the authentic experience from up close.
You will visit Barrack Canyon, Big Red Sand Dune, Anfishyia Inscriptions, Lawrence House, Mushroom Rock.

e) Camel by night
Enjoy the magical experience under the stars.
Normally one or two hour Camel trek is taken after dinner in the evening. When the sun sets down and full moon rises you see a colorful display of rocks. It is truly an amazing experience. One of the most magical times to be experienced, when the full moon touches everything in silver light. When the moon is small you can see millions stars shining. Shooting stars can be seen during July-September. The Camel by night trek is absolutely stunning way to see the desert night sky. You really get a sense of the vastness of both the sky and the desert at night in a way you don’t realize during the day.
